Improving Anne Arundel County Through Our Low-income Housing Program
Enhance the quality of life for low-income and disabled homeowners while at the same time improving neighborhoods in Anne Arundel County. That’s the win-win philosophy behind Rebuilding Together – Anne Arundel County, Inc.Think of us as neighbors reaching out to other neighbors. Rebuilding Together does not rely on government monies. Instead, this Maryland housing repair program depends upon contributions from corporate sponsors as well as donations of time and talent from civic groups, churches, organizations, grants and caring individuals. Be part of our energetic team, and help provide low-income home repair services. There are a variety of ways to make charitable gifts to this worthy cause, including:
- Full or Shared sponsorship of our annual Blitz Day event
- Monetary donations or gift cards to buy necessary renovation materials
- Organizing groups of co-workers, teens, or others to volunteer
- Donating your skills as a carpenter, electrician, plumber or other tradesperson
- Giving of your own time and talent to help with ongoing projects

Providing Home Repair Services To Disabled, Elderly, And Very Low Income Homeowners
Patch a leaky roof. Build a wheelchair ramp. Add safety railings and grab bars to a bathroom. Install smoke detectors. These are just a few of the home repair services you can help provide to qualified recipients. This low-income, elderly, and disabled housing revitalization program in Maryland lends a hand to Anne Arundel homeowners who truly need assistance. During our annual Blitz Day in April, for example, hundreds of volunteers restore between 25 and 30 homes. But our efforts also extend throughout the year. Since our founding in 1991, our 19-member Board of Directors has launched a variety of initiatives, including:
- Annual Blitz Day in April – targets major improvements and home repairs for 25 to 30 of the community’s most fragile neighbors
- Make A Difference Day in October –focuses on assisting one needy homeowner and is underwritten by the Board of Directors
- Home Modification Program – improves daily living for residents who no longer see, hear, or walk as they once did
- Pilot Weatherization Project – helps make homes more energy efficient through the help of the National Association of Home Builders Research Center
- Annual Golf Tournament – raises money and creates awareness of our many community-related services
- Complementary Working Relationships – collaboration with sister organizations who also help the less fortunate
